WHO ARE WE?

Recreational Sports, Inc. (RSPI) Hockey Leagues has been established to provide an organization in which adult hockey players can compete in regularly scheduled hockey games against teams (and players) of approximately equal abilities.  While competition between teams and players is expected, the underlying purpose of the league is to have fun by promoting friendship and a spirit of sportsmanship amoung all the participants.   Everyone should enjoy playing in our leagues!

The organization has a lot of advantages because it contracts for large blocks of ice time from the various arenas, which allows for flexibility of scheduling.  It provides insurance at reduced group rates, allows for unlimited subbing (even across league lines), and creates a path where players have the opportunity to play hockey against others of similar age level and skill.

We have experienced a lot of growth since the Over 40 and 50 hockey leagues began 13 years ago.  RSPI negotiates and contracts the ice, referees, scorekeepers, creates budgets for each league, mails out registration forms, signs up teams and players, collects the money and pays the bills.  Hockey players can just play.

Recreational Sports, Inc. offers various adult hockey leagues for persons to join as either an individual or as a whole team.  Players are ranked by their skill and ability and placed on a team by the league captains to create equality throughout the league.  No matter what your background of hockey entails you should never feel intimidated to join one of our leagues.  Take some time and read the rules of our league.  Then when you are ready, fill out the registration form and mail it in!
